COVID19 Update

Our ongoing measures in response to COVID19

Thank you for your patience and understanding, while we have been working hard to ensure we have measures in place for the health and safety of the community, our staff and our animals.

As per stage government legislation, anyone wishing to enter the shelter must have proof of full vaccination status.

Public Access:

We are currently not accepting walk in’s and will continue to operate on an adoption-by-application model into the future.

Adoption arrangements made by us:

All adoption bookings are made by us contacting you, if you are a successful adoption applicant.

Applications for dogs or cats are made via our Website. Each animal in the Animals For Adoption section has an “apply to adopt me” button under their description.

We are logistically unable to maintain a wait list for people wishing us to contact them when specific breeds, puppies etc arrive at the shelter.

Please note that we are receiving high numbers of adoption applications at present.

General animal viewing:

We are making appointments for general viewing of our animals via emailing admin@saveadog.org.au, but there is a wait list. Shorlisted adoption applicants are being given first priority – so we do recommend, if there is someone you are interested in on our website to apply to adopt there.

Visitors will not be allowed to walk through adoption areas unless they have an appointment.

Please note that we are receiving high numbers of adoption applications and viewing requests at present.
