Stage 4 Restrictions

Our temporary measures in response to the current stage 4 restrictions

Thank you for your patience and understanding, while we have been working hard to ensure we have measures in place for the health and safety of the community, our staff and our animals. These are the temporary measures in place in response to the current COVID-19 situation and may change.

Public Access:

The shelter is closed to public access. Adoptions and reclaims are via appointment only – see further info below.

Lost and Found Animals:

For lost and found animals, please call 9824 7928 or 0418 389 810. Both these numbers have a very comprehensive message giving you alternative numbers to call for Lost, Found and Surrender enquiries. All other enquires are by email admin@saveadog.org.au only

Adoptions:

All adoptions are currently via adoption form. You’ll find all our animals for adoption, on the animals for adoption section of our website. Each animal has a link to apply for them under their description. Meetings will be conducted by appointment only for successful applicants.

We’re working hard to contact shortlisted applicants within 10 days to arrange an appointment.

Applicants will only be shortlisted if they match the criteria set out in the animal’s description.

Fostering:

As we are experiencing such high volumes of enquiries, please do not contact us in relation to fostering right now. We’ll update our website and Facebook when we’re asking for help again.

We are very grateful for the unprecedented response we’ve had from the public in relation to fostering. We now have over 50 animals in foster care and already have over 200 further requests we’re working through before we’ll consider taking any more.
