Meet Melman, a big, energetic boy with a friendly nature and a whole lot of love to give! Since arriving in our care, Melman has been friendly with everyone he's met, making him a lovely companion for someone looking for a fun-loving dog with plenty of personality.

Melman is a clever boy who already knows some basic commands, including sit, drop and shake. He listens well when given clear, firm guidance and responds best to someone who can provide consistent direction. He's a big, strong boy with plenty of energy, so his new family will need to be comfortable handling a larger dog and helping him channel that enthusiasm in positive ways.

Out on walks, Melman manages reasonably well on a Halti, which helps with handling his strength. While he's generally quite good with other dogs, he seems to prefer dogs with calmer personalities rather than those who are overly full-on. He's happy to let another dog know when they've crossed a line, and although he enjoys a play, he tends to be ready for a break after around ten minutes.

Melman is looking for a home that can offer him regular exercise, ongoing training, structure and plenty of opportunities to enjoy life. His friendly nature and willingness to listen are wonderful qualities, and with the right guidance, he'll make a fantastic companion for a family ready for a big boy with big energy.
