Speed is a gentle, friendly ex-racing Greyhound looking for a loving home where he can enjoy a well-earned retirement. While he's a little more reserved than his mate Busy when meeting new people, he settles quickly and has shown himself to be an affectionate and easy-going boy who isn't easily fazed by his surroundings.

Speed enjoys carrying toys around and is happy to entertain himself. He gets along well with other dogs and is social in his own way, preferring a game of chase over rough-and-tumble play. True to Greyhound fashion, he's more of a sprinter than a marathon runner and is usually ready for a nap after just a few minutes of fun. Speed is toilet trained and has adapted well to life outside of racing. He does have some hair loss around his hindquarters, which is common in many ex-racing Greyhounds and is expected to improve with good nutrition and home care.
