Spice might start off a little nervous, but it doesn’t take long for her true personality to shine through. Once she feels safe, she is incredibly friendly and much more interested in her people than anything else around her.
Since coming into our care, Spice has already made great progress with her weight loss journey. She’s still a little on the chunky side, but she’s feeling better for it and will need a home committed to continuing her health and fitness in a safe, gradual way.
Spice isn’t interested in other dogs and would much rather spend her time with humans. She has shown that she can become frustrated with persistent dogs and did snap when another dog wouldn’t leave her alone, so she will need to be the only dog in the home.
As a dachshund, Spice comes with all the quirks and traits of the breed, so her new owner must have dachshund experience and understand their needs—both physically and behaviourally.
In the right home, Spice will be a loving, loyal little companion who just wants to be by your side
