Buddy is a lovable, social butterfly who truly enjoys the company of other dogs and is always happy to play and interact. While he’s fantastic socially, Buddy would absolutely thrive as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves. Regular dog socialisation will still be important for him, as he really does enjoy canine friendships. As a bulldog, Buddy does have some breed-specific needs. He struggles to breathe in warm weather and can overheat easily, so his new home must be mindful of temperature, exercise, and overall management—especially during the warmer months. For this reason, Buddy must go to an experienced, breed-savvy owner who understands the unique care English bulldogs require. Buddy can be uncomfortable around elderly people, so his ideal home would be one without older residents, where his boundaries can be respected and his environment kept calm and predictable. With the right home, Buddy will be a devoted, affectionate companion who gives back tenfold to those who understand him and his needs.
