Lil Wayne has had a very tough start to life, and his first instinct when meeting new people is to put his guard up. His siblings have now all found their homes, and our team has been working incredibly hard with Lil Wayne to help him build confidence and get him to where he is today.
Lil Wayne enjoys the company of other dogs and loves a good play session. He can be boisterous and full of energy when he's having fun, so a canine companion who enjoys a good game could be a great match for him.
While Lil Wayne can be unsure of new people initially, once he has had the time and space to warm up, he becomes a very friendly boy who genuinely wants to be around you and be part of your world. His new family will need to understand that trust cannot be rushed and be willing to let Lil Wayne set the pace.
He needs an experienced and understanding owner who is comfortable working with a dog who needs time, space and plenty of positive experiences. Lil Wayne will benefit from ongoing socialisation with people and the world around him, but it's important that his boundaries are respected and that he is never pushed before he is ready.
Because of his past and the support he needs, Lil Wayne is not recommended for a home with young children. He is looking for someone who can see the lovely, affectionate dog underneath his initial nerves and give him the patience, consistency and understanding he deserves.
If you have the experience, patience and heart to help Lil Wayne continue his journey, he has the potential to become an incredibly special companion.
