When he first arrived, Bear was extremely overweight, anxious, and unsure how to navigate even the simplest everyday things that a dog his age should feel confident with. Life clearly hadn’t given him many chances to learn. With his time in foster, Bear has slowly flourished into a more stable companion

He’s an active boy who thrives on human interaction, praise, and companionship. Because he forms strong bonds, Bear would suit a home where someone is around most of the time. We expect he may experience some separation anxiety or fear of being abandoned, so a family who can offer reassurance, routine, and stability will help him continue on his journey.

Bear truly is a good dog finding his confidence, and the right home will see him continue to flourish into the happy, loved companion he deserves to be. Bear has had some trouble with certain male dogs, however we would not describe him as dog aggressive.
