Maggie hasn’t had the best start to life and arrived at the shelter terrified and completely shut down. Despite this, she has shown a gentle, submissive nature and has slowly begun to find her feet in a safe environment.
She is friendly with other friendly dogs and gains confidence from calm canine company. New people can be scary for Maggie, and she will need a home that offers patience, stability, and a predictable routine to help her continue building trust at her own pace.
Underneath her uncertainty, Maggie is still very young and has a playful, slightly crazy side waiting to shine. She is highly food motivated, which will be a big help with training and confidence-building as she settles into home life.
Maggie will do best with an understanding adopter who can give her the time, reassurance, and consistency she needs to grow into the happy, confident dog she’s capable of becoming.
