Lottie holds a special place in our hearts, having been born here at Save-A-Dog Scheme in late 2024. She was adopted as a puppy but sadly found her way back into our care just over a year later. Since returning, we've been able to give her the care she needed and prepare her for a fresh start.
When Lottie came back to us, she was carrying extra weight and was experiencing joint pain. Further investigations revealed arthritis caused by elbow dysplasia. Since losing weight, Lottie's quality of life has improved dramatically and she is back to being the happy, playful girl we know and love. She adores people, enjoys the company of other dogs and approaches life with a wagging tail and a smile.
Lottie is now looking for a loving forever home that understands her long-term needs. While her arthritis is currently well managed and doesn't significantly impact her day-to-day life, her new family should be aware that it may progress as she gets older. With ongoing weight management, appropriate exercise, regular veterinary care and joint support, we are confident Lottie can continue to enjoy a wonderful quality of life for many years to come.
