After a very long journey with us, we have finally made the decision to put Zayne up for adoption. This decision has not been made lightly. Zayne has spent a long time in our care due to his severe fear of almost everything. We don’t know what happened in his past, but we do know it wasn’t kind to him. Through patience and consistency, Zayne has reached a point where he is comfortable, happy, and settled with us and the dogs here at the shelter. However, we are unsure how he will adapt when faced with the challenges of the outside world. For this reason, Zayne is only suited to a very particular type of home. He needs someone who is not only dedicated but also has genuine experience working with highly fearful, traumatised, and strong dogs. This is non-negotiable—applications without such experience will not be considered, as Zayne deserves the best chance possible to succeed in a safe and supportive environment. For the right person, Zayne will be a deeply rewarding companion, but he will require patience, structure, and understanding every step of the way.
