Tessa is a loving, affectionate and incredibly smart girl who has settled beautifully into foster care. She’s fully toilet trained, uses a dog door, and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate. She adores her people and loves cuddles, but has learned to settle independently with the right boundaries. Tessa enjoys walks, playtime and mental stimulation, but is just as happy to relax once she’s had her exercise. She’s also been great with cats. Tessa has been working with a professional dog trainer, and her foster carer has continued this training in the home. She is very eager to please and has so much potential, but will need a confident handler to continue guiding her. She isn’t suitable to live with other dogs at this stage, though may improve over time with ongoing training. Tessa is looking for a home that offers structure, consistency and leadership
