When Zuko first arrived at Save A Dog, he was enthusiastic but unruly — eager to please, yet unsure of what was expected of him, with very little prior exposure to other dogs. Since then, he has made remarkable progress and grown enormously in confidence and understanding, however he still needs to be the only dog in his home. Zuko is now ready to move into a home of his own, but he will need an experienced adopter who is confident handling large, strong dogs and understands his temperament. While he has come a long way, he is still building confidence around other dogs and will need continued guidance and structure. Zuko will thrive with someone who can spend plenty of time with him, further his training, and provide strong, consistent leadership. Once that bond is established, he becomes an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. Zuko is best suited to an adult-only home.
