• Shy, sensitive, and still learning to trust
• Seeking an experienced and patient adopter
• Would benefit from a calm and quiet home environment
• Must be indoors only
Shaz arrived at the shelter alongside her siblings after being found as strays. Having had very limited positive exposure to people early in life, Shaz is still quite shy and fearful and is learning that humans can be safe and kind.
At this stage, Shaz is still building her confidence and adjusting to the world around her. While she remains uncertain about handling and touch, we believe that with time, patience, and gentle encouragement, Shaz has every chance to continue progressing and come out of her shell.
Shaz will need an experienced and compassionate adopter who understands shy or undersocialised cats and is willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. She may take a little while to settle in, but with a gentle approach and plenty of patience, she can gradually learn to trust at her own pace.
A calm, quiet home with a consistent routine will help Shaz feel secure and build her confidence. Watching a shy cat slowly learn to trust and blossom can be an incredibly rewarding experience for the right person. Shaz will need someone who understands that trust takes time and is happy to let her progress at her own pace.
