Pomelo arrived at the shelter as a quiet and reserved young cat who is still learning that the world can be a safe and predictable place. She is naturally timid and takes her time to feel comfortable in new situations, preferring to observe from a distance before joining in.

While Pomelo is not currently seeking out affection, she finds great comfort in the presence of other cats and gains confidence from their company. A friendly, well-adjusted resident cat will be especially important for her, helping her learn the routines of home life and encouraging her to come out of her shell at her own pace.
