• Needs consistent routine
• A calm, indoor-only home
• Must live with a friendly and confident resident cat to help her feel safe
• A quiet household with no dogs or children
• An experienced home in handling timid cats is required
Donna has had a tough start to life, and it has taken her a long time to feel safe enough to show her gentle personality. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was terrified - spending months hiding, frozen with fear, not wanting to engage with people. With time, patience, quiet companionship, and the help of some confident and kind feline friends, Donna has come out of her shell.
Donna greets familiar faces with slow blinks and enjoys curling up in cosy beds, and hiding spots near her favourite cat buddies. She loves birdwatching from the windows and taking in the sights from outside. She is still a timid soul who will take time to trust, but in the right home, we believe Donna will continue to blossom.
Donna may never be a lap cat, but she is a sweet, sensitive girl who just wants to feel safe. If you believe love and trust are earned slowly and gently, Donna could be the perfect companion for you - and your current resident feline!
It may not seem like it, but Donna truly has come a long way. Our dedicated staff and volunteers have seen her journey and with a sprinkling of unconditional love and acceptance would love to see her continue the journey home.
Adopting timid cats like Donna can be a deeply rewarding experience, as it offers them the opportunity to feel safe, loved, and cherished in a calm environment, while giving you the chance to build an unbreakable bond based on trust and patience.
