Could you be a “house volunteer”?
Save-A-Dog Scheme urgently needs willing hands for the ever present but oh so necessary housekeeping chores without which our shelters could not operate. The duties of house volunteers would be chopping up the dog food, seeing to the laundering of dog and cat bedding, and various other shelter chores. This volunteering role is very specific but also very important and is ideal for those of you who are committed to our important work of saving companion animals but who cannot ,or prefer not to, take on the heavy physical roles of kennel work and care of the large strong dogs.
We are searching for house volunteers at either or both of our two shelters (Yarrambat or Glen Iris). For further information please phone our shelter manager Margie on 0488 502 121.
