Kobe is a complex boy who will need a very specific and experienced home to help him feel safe and settled. He can walk alongside other dogs, but if they come too close or invade his space, he may react. He has walked with small dogs, however he does not want them near him.
Because of this, Kobe must be the only dog in the home and is best suited to an adult-only household with someone who understands canine behaviour and is confident handling dogs that require clear boundaries and structure.
Kobe needs a firm, calm, and consistent handler. While he can be okay off-lead around a small dog, he may still react unpredictably, though he does respond to correction and will back off when told. He may also resource guard toys, which will need ongoing management and training.
Kobe takes time to build trust and will need patience from his new owner. Once he feels secure and understands expectations, he has the potential to do well in the right hands — but this is not a dog for an inexperienced owner.
