We’ve held off on putting Goober up for adoption until now because he’s been recovering from an injury to his front paw. After lots of rest, care and patience, he’s reached the end of his healing journey, and we’ve begun retesting him with other dogs and introducing him to new situations.
Goober hasn’t had the most traditional start to life, so he’ll benefit from ongoing training as he adjusts to a more predictable, enriching routine. While recovering, he has done incredibly well with crate training and has shown us just how eager he is to learn and please.
He absolutely loves spending time with his people, enjoys his daily walks, and brings a joyful, goofy spark to every room he’s in.
It’s important for future adopters to know that Goober’s front paw will never be exactly as it was before his injury—but it isn’t slowing him down one bit. He’s active, enthusiastic, and more than ready to embrace life with a family who will give him the love, guidance, and fun he deserves.
Goober has been through a lot, but he’s bounced back with resilience—and he can’t wait to share that joyful spirit with his new family.
