Patsy has had a complex past in that she has been in 2 different homes and a previous foster home before being placed in her current foster.. She has never settled and would become frantic if left alone for 5 minutes and was often reactive to other dogs. Patsy's current foster home has been doing some wonderful work with her and at last she is learning to cope with life and settle into a normal routine. She still has a long way to go but if her new home can follow the current foster carer's training regime along with the new boundaries that have been set, Patsy should settle and enjoy a happy and fulfilling life Please read the following information from Patsy's current foster home. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE CANINE EXPERIENCE OR SITUATION TO SETTLE PATSY PLEASE DO NOT REPLY AS YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED Patsy is very sweet and affectionate. I started fostering her on August 25th 2021. She was afraid of most things and lacked confidence. Now, she loves going for walks and is confident except when large trucks go past, or when loud unexpected noises occur. Patsy is reactive to dogs who are either aggressive or lunge to meet her – even if their intention is friendly. Going to dog training would really help Patsy as she still needs training and socialisation. With well-behaved calm dogs Patsy can meet them, have a sniff and move on. Pasty has mild elbow dysplasia, but green-lipped muscle powder has done wonders. She loves a good zoomie and shows no sign of discomfort. Patsy is fabulously quirky. She loves water (she’ll need a doggy life vest, as she tried to swim vertically, but loved every second of it!) She hates ceiling fans when they are on and would like to destroy them all. She is petrified of thunder and somewhat scared/unsure about cats. She feels most comfortable sleeping under blankets, under her bed, or in the tent bed I made her. Patsy really is a lovely dog and has amazing potential. She just needs guidance, patience and someone with the right skills.
