Elmer arrived with us as an extremely scared and shutdown boy. It was clear that he did not have many interactions with people prior to arriving here.
It has taken him a while to settle into his new environment and get into a new routine, but once he began to trust us he began to thrive. Elmer is a friendly and lower energy cat - he has blossomed since arriving and has shown he really loves attention of his favourite people! He would be happiest in an adult only home, but could live with experienced teenagers who were mindful of his initial timid nature and were respectful of his boundaries.
Elmer would thrive with a friendly feline who could help show him the ropes when moving into his forever home, however, he could be adopted with people who were home most of the time.
Elmer must be indoors only.

Once settled, Elmer would be a fantastic addition to a family prepared to help him settle into his new space!
